Connect Athletes In Action: 6 July

Where to catch our rugby players this weekend.

It’s a bumper weekend with some of our leading Connect Sports Academy athletes taking their place on the national rugby stage around South Africa. Here are the essentials.

Craven Week

Front row pair Lukhanyo “Boepa” Vokozela and Lamla Nunu complete their first Craven Week with Western Province in Bloemfontein.

Our duo finish off a successful week at Grey College on Saturday, with Boepa featuring in the final at 14:00 and Lamla taking part in the curtain-raiser with the Western Province XV side at 12:30.

Sharks Women vs Western Province Women

Our leading senior athlete, Sesethu Mtshazi, continues her second Currie Cup campaign in Western Province colours with a trip to play the Sharks on Saturday.

Sese kicked off the season with a big win away to the Bulls two weeks ago.

Tygerberg vs Union Milnerton U20s

It’s a derby for our first intake of post-school apprentices this weekend, as Union Milnerton U20s make the short trip to play Tygerberg on Saturday afternoon.

Help our athletes rise through rugby

We’re always in need of sponsors and donors to support our work in providing consistent access to quality resources and opportunities for young South Africans.
