You can see our Connect Sports Academy athletes rising through rugby once again this weekend across Cape Town and beyond. Here are the essentials:
Blue Bulls Women vs Western Province Women
It’s all eyes on Pretoria this weekend as our leading senior athlete, Sesethu Mtshazi, kicks off the Currie Cup season with Western Province Women against the Blue Bulls.
Sese begins her second campaign with WP and will start at inside centre in the north-south derby.
While continuing her studies at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology, Sese has put in her first full off season of training at our Cape Town home, Burgundy High Performance Centre.
She earned a call-up to represent the Lady Blitzboks earlier this year and took part in the 40-woman South African national training camp ahead of the new season.
Union Milnerton U20s vs SK Walmer
Our post-school apprentices are back in action in the colours of Union Milnerton this Saturday.
The Under 20s are on home turf at Theo Marais Park, taking on SK Walmer.
Down the age groups, our school-age athletes can put their feet up and enjoy their holidays after taking part in our first rugby sevens training camp.
Help our athletes rise through rugby
We’re always in need of sponsors and donors to support our work in providing consistent access to quality resources and opportunities for young South Africans.
If you or your company can help, we’d love to hear from you so please get in touch. Connect is a registered non-profit company and can issue a Section 18(A) certificate for South African donations.
You can also donate from the UK right here, with Gift Aid applicable to all donations.
