Where to catch our rugby players this weekend.

Our senior Connect Sports Academy athletes take centre stage this weekend, with the focus on Cape Town’s southern suburbs and Paarl.

Rondebosch Boys’ High School vs Boland Landbou

Our two Rondebosch Boys’ High School athletes, Lukhanyo ‘Boepa’ Vokozela and Lamla Nunu, continue their first season in the senior rugby division.

Hooker Boepa is set to carry on at prop for the first XV after a series of strong performances out of position, including last weekend at home to the mighty Paul Roos.

He’s be joined in playing on the main field by fellow front row Lamla, as both boys continue their growth at the top level of school rugby.

Paarl vs Union Milnerton Under 20s

Our apprentices polish off another week of training and work experience at our Burgundy High Performance Centre home with a trip to Paarl on Saturday.

Thaakir, Tsetse, Reno, Joshua, Lutho, as well as Mickael and Damian (not pictured), will represent Union Milnerton Under 20s.

A big thank you to Isma-eel Dollie and his coaching team for helping us to create consistent access to playing opportunities for our first crop of post-school athletes.

Wynberg Boys’ High School vs Stellenberg

Apprentice Thaakir’s younger brother Ridhau Bey will also be action this weekend when he plays for the Wynberg Boys’ High School Under 15A side against Stellenberg in Cape Town’s southern suburbs.

Parel Vallei vs SACS

Another of our youngsters heading out to Paarl is one of our SACS scholarship-holders, Niche Koopman.

He’ll be in the U14A side that plays away to Parel Vallei, with our older SACS-based athletes putting their feet up with a fixture free weekend.
