Connect Athletes In Action: 3 August

Where to catch our rugby players this weekend.

SACS vs Rondebosch

It’s a southern suburbs derby in Cape Town for a bundle of our school-age athletes, as SACS go up against Rondebosch Boys’ High School on Saturday.

Lukhanyo ‘Boepa’ Vokozela and Lamla Nunu continue to represent the visitors in their first senior year, with the First XV match kicking off at 12:00.

Eugene Solomons plays for the home side in the senior ranks while Aya Machuli, Akha Mjawule and Ilitha ‘Mister’ Ntinini play for the Under 15s, with the A team game at 10:15.

There’s also action for Niche Koopman in the U14A game at 9:10.

Boland vs Western Province Women

Our leading senior athlete Sesethu Mtshazi resumes her Currie Cup campaign with Western Province Women on Saturday.

Sese is on the road for a game away to Boland.

Also in action…

We’re continuing our own run of fixtures with a tour match against Bangor from the UK, in partnership with our friends Edwin Doran Sports Tours.

Our younger athletes not placed on high school scholarships are also hitting the highway for an away fixture against Stellenbosch.

Help our athletes rise through rugby

We’re always in need of sponsors and donors to support our work in providing consistent access to quality resources and opportunities for young South Africans.

If you or your company can help, we’d love to hear from you so please get in touch. Connect is a registered non-profit company and can issue a Section 18(A) certificate for South African donations.

You can also donate from the UK right here, with Gift Aid applicable to all donations.

You can also sign up to our mailing list, follow us on FacebookTwitter and Instagram.
