Sese Mtshazi receives Irvine Partners athlete sponsorship

Congratulations to our senior high performance athlete Sesethu Mtshazi, who becomes our latest sponsored player thanks to Irvine Partners.

The leading public relations and marketing agency will support Sese’s continued development, on and off the rugby field, over the coming year.

Irvine Partners will contribute R15 000 towards the 19-year-old’s progress within our academy.

They join our other athlete sponsors, who include leading African law firm Bowmans and independent news publication the Daily Maverick.

But you don’t have to be a global sensation to support our young people. Small businesses and private individuals are also among our backers.

Will you join Irvine Partners in helping us provide consistent access to quality resources and opportunities for our athletes?

Sponsorship comes at the perfect time

Sese became Connect’s first rugby player to begin a university course last month, when she started a sports management course at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology.

Eight of her fellow athletes also began their scholarships at leading schools in the Cape Town area.

She represented the Western Province senior women’s rugby side during 2017, narrowly missing out on a spot in the Currie Cup squad.

And Sese’s aim is now to combine her studies with continued improvement on the pitch.

We’ll be there with her every step of the way – and the support of Irvine Partners is a huge help.

A big thank you to Rachel and her team for supporting transformation where it matters: from the grassroots up.

We can’t wait to work together over the coming year and beyond.

We’d love for you to sponsor one of our high performance athletes, or make a direct donation to support the work that we do.
