Why We Need A Vehicle Now
The day-to-day running of our academy sees athletes moving all over Cape Town and the surrounding area for school, training, fixtures and trials.
While Connect makes frequent use of public and private transport to achieve this, there are many occasions on which it would be beneficial to have complete control of the movements of our young sportsmen and women.
It would save time and expense, as well as allowing us to be far more adaptable and consistent in what is often an unpredictable environment of grassroots transformation.
Crucially, the safety of the young people in our care will be better ensured by keeping them under the direct care of Connect staff between home and their sporting and educational commitments.
An extra vehicle would allow us to better allocate our resources and staff in order to give our athletes the individual, holistic care that is essential to them fulfilling their potential.
